MX Record Lookup

Look up a domain's MX records sorted by priority, resolve each mail host's A/AAAA addresses, detect the mail provider (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Proofpoint, Mimecast and more) and check SPF and DMARC. Free, no signup.

How to use it

  1. Enter a domain (or paste an email address; the part after @ is used) and click Look up MX.
  2. Mail servers are listed lowest priority number first: that is where senders deliver first. Each host is resolved to its IPv4/IPv6 addresses.
  3. Warnings flag a null MX (0 ., domain accepts no mail), no MX at all (senders fall back to the A record), MX targets that are IP addresses or CNAMEs (both break RFC 5321/2181) and missing SPF or DMARC.

Audit hundreds of domains at once
